I really enjoy making a difference in someone's business and being creative about our strategy across all services.
Often creative agencies don't understand what's required for ROI performance and paid agencies can get bogged down in 'best practice' and forget to push boundaries to try and be better.
These two issues are really what inspired Jack and I to start the company from our living room! We like to see The Social Shepherd as a nice sweet spot combining creative and paid performance, and I'm very proud of the results we've driven from our short time as a company.
I've also loved watching each of our team members grow into their roles over the past year.

But I head up the agencies Marketing & Sales. Driving qualified leads, and building our brand, whilst taking new business calls with prospective clients.
My favourite thing about my role...
I've always absolutely loved focusing on driving revenue and growth. Whether that was for my previous business, our existing clients or now our own business as an agency.
Being stagnant is my worse nightmare, so always pushing & focusing on building long term growth gets me going!
I currently love getting to speak to a multitude of business owners & marketing teams about the current problems they're facing, and breaking down exactly how they can fix them with the correct strategies.

No day is ever the same, so nothing ever gets boring. I get to have my hands in new business development, client services, creative reviews, strategy planning, team building, thought leadership and agency administration, just to name a few.
I love new business outreach because I get to be introduced to so many different brands. The variety of potential clients I speak with gets me excited about possibly working with them and how we can help their businesses.

Looking after the strategic side of the business, both internally, as well as the bigger picture of The Social Shepherd moving forward. From an internal perspective, I lead the strategy team and oversee client strategies, for both our retained and project-based business. With my team, we act as the agency QuarterBack, managing all aspects of social delivery and team collaboration.
Outside of the day-to-day, I support the overall growth of the business by working on optimising processes, identifying existing growth and securing new business opportunities.
My favourite thing about my role...
I love the fast-paced dynamic nature of my role. One minute I’m working with the team developing TikTok strategies, to sitting in a senior management meeting and identifying growth opportunities the next. There’s just a captivating sense of entrepreneurialism and purpose all over the business, which makes every day unique.

As an account manager, my role consists of being the gatekeeper for clients and essentially putting myself in their shoes. This means that any tasks or communications from the client come through me, and it’s my responsibility to ensure that all deliverable teams are briefed in on requirements and deadlines, whilst also continuing to update the clients on progress. I am also responsible for managing client relationships, so to be the face of The Social Shepherd should they have any issues, but to also celebrate successes with them too.
My favourite thing about my role...
As a logical thinker and a problem solver, my favourite part of my role is actually to help find solutions to any pinch points that we find with clients. Sounds a bit strange, but the way I see it is that if we are lucky enough to find new challenges to overcome, that means these accounts are growing, right?
The landscape of Social is constantly evolving, so maintaining a good baseline knowledge of changes and developments across all departments means I am constantly growing my skillset.
Being the main point of contact for clients has its highs and lows, for sure, but there is no better feeling than celebrating a great piece of work with a dedicated team and a happy client!

One of the favourite things about my role is seeing client’s businesses grow and develop, but more specifically, the power of the data used to help make those decisions that help growth and development.
I have always been a nerd for numbers, so being able to work with them all day is a plus!
I also love developing marketing strategies, especially when integrating multiple ad platforms to help drive results.
Everything from discovery, right down to the bottom of the funnel, developing ways of getting users to convert is what I’m here for!

The variety of work. Each campaign is different and has its own objectives. This means that there is always an exciting new goal to work towards. I really enjoy the mix of creativity and data analysis. One day I will work on new creative ideas for ads, and the next I will get stuck into the data. Never a dull moment for me.

It's always a joy to finally see a campaign, that you've been there throughout the process, be put into action. I love seeing in-time results roll in, from the hard work that has been put in to generate them. Also, as digital marketing is an ever-evolving space, I'm always intrigued by new ad formats and testing them out to see how users interact with them.

As Creative Director at The Social Shepherd, I oversee both the Content and Production teams, ensuring what we put out as an agency is anchored in compelling narrative and visuals.
I love the variety that social media marketing brings - no two days are the same. My focus can go from ideation to pitch work, training to creative sessions, and social-first content to high-end productions - that variety is what drives creativity for our clients as we constantly look to breathe originality into every piece of content.
While overseeing the Creative teams and their work, my focus is also on levelling up our creative offering. Through collaboration with our multi-skilled 'Creatives', we are always looking to find new ways to drive engagement, build followings, and go viral.

Coming up with creative ways for all our clients to engage with their audiences. Working with the organic and paid social media team, my job is to make sure that our clients are always using new and innovative ways to reach people across multiple social platforms.
My favourite thing about my role...
Is getting to conceptualise a variety of ways to connect with people. No matter the client you are creating content for, the main goal - in my eyes - is to spark a feeling in the people that see it. Whether it's to make people feel like laughing, like they've learnt something, left them feeling inspired or motivated, it's nice to know that something I've created has made an impression on somebody's day.

I look after the content we produce for a variety of our great clients, such as easyJet holidays, Prezzybox and Carpetright! I work closely with our client teams to ensure our content is on brand and social first, taking into account current trends and adapting our content to be the most performance-driven.
My favourite thing about my role is…
Working in such a creative team is something I feed off, so it’s been great being able to bounce ideas off of each other and actually creating the content and getting hands-on makes the job exciting. Plus, there’s never a dull day!

I am responsible for the ideas behind the social first content produced for our clients, from the initial concepts to providing a brief for shoot days. On shoots, I will assist with the running and directing of the day.
My favourite thing about my role is…
I love that no two days are the same. One day, I might be content planning and meeting with the wider team for brainstorming sessions, and the next, I’ll be out of the office on a shoot. I really enjoy seeing the whole curation process through, from initial plans to the final content piece.

I love the variety in my role and the clients we work with - no two days are the same. One day I could be in the office planning content with the team, and the next, I could be on a shoot! I love seeing the whole creative process through from start to finish, from the initial concepts to seeing the ideas come to life in the final piece.

Leading the influencer team and developing The Social Shepherd's influencer offering.
I work with clients from the very start, developing their influencer marketing strategy, campaign concepting and briefing, and building relationships with influencers and their agents.
My favourite thing about my role...
Collaborating with brands to help them to grow their business, raise brand awareness and drive meaningful engagement with audiences through strategic influencer partnerships. We have a real variety of clients too so no two days are the same and it keeps every day interesting.
I'm a creative and strategic thinker so working in influencer marketing is perfect, and I love collaborating with the organic, paid and creative teams at The Social Shepherd to make the most out of our client influencer campaigns.
