We're a fast-growth marketing agency helping clients in eCommerce, FMCG, Retail, Hospitality & Travel to accelerate their business growth.

Having grown from 2 to 50+ in the past 3 years and the trajectory to become the largest independent social agency in the UK, we're now looking to take on our next member of the flock to enhance our organic social team!

First of all, here are some important things

🏠 Work From Home: we operate a hybrid model where you have time both in the office & at home. A lot of our team loves to be in the office, working collaboratively together, but also like the balance of being able to work from home a couple of days a week. This typically looks like 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

💼 Office: Based in the heart of Bath City Centre, making it an easy place to commute to. 5min walk from Train & Bus station.

🏋️ Wellness Package: everyone in our team receives £30 per month towards anything that increases your overall wellness (think massage, yoga, guitar lessons, gym membership etc).

🕐 Flexible hours: some people are early birds, and others like to start later. We allow people to set their own times, with some people starting at 8am and getting to finish up earlier! We trust our team to get their work done on their schedule.

What we're looking for...

An experienced Paid Media Manager in all things planning and buying; that understands how to build and optimise campaigns across Paid Social and/or Paid Search.

The majority of our clients are in eCommerce/DTC, so having a solid understanding of the full-funnel strategy and how to drive conversions is important.

We're looking for an ambitious individual who wants to accelerate their career in a fast-growth agency and work across some of the most exciting brands in the UK.

What you'll be doing...

    • Building & developing your own, and the agencies, approach to paid media buying. Applying original thought to build solutions to client business challenges, both with new business pitches and existing clients.
    • Buying media across Facebook/Instagram, Google, TikTok, Pinterest and others.
    • Executing paid media campaigns to an industry-standard best practice across Paid Search & Paid Social, including writing ad copy & guiding creative strategy.
    • Continually optimise ad accounts to achieve the absolute best results for clients, taking into account performance across different channels.
    • Leading client relationships and being their core day-to-day contact.
    • Helping clients understand performance by reporting in a holistic, informative way, taking into account reporting tools like Google Analytics and Google Data Studio.
    • Leading a team of one/two Paid Media Executives who'll help assist you on client campaigns.
    • Contributing to the growth & structure of The Social Shepherd paid media team, assisting in training and up-skilling the wider team.


Who we’re looking for:

  • You have hands-on experience running campaigns through Google Ads & Facebook Ads Manager. Exposure to other platforms including but not limited to Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok is preferable, but not essential.
  • You’ll have two or more years of experience working with paid media (agency-side preferable, but not essential).
  • You’ll have experience running and scaling eCommerce accounts using Paid Social and/or Paid Search, and an aptitude for driving business growth.
  • Analysing accounts to achieve client objectives, utilising your knowledge, creativity, problem-solving and evaluation of results.
  • Confidence with numbers & data analysis.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Data Studio & Google Tag Manager are all highly preferred, but proficiency in every platform isn’t essential.
  • Curious and adaptable: it’s a fast-moving industry and social advertising even more so, products change and adapt weekly and you must be happy with keeping up to date with changes and learning about how they may impact our output.
