New TikTok Partnership with Linktree

TikTok has partnered with Linktree to allow creators to add referral link options directly to their profiles. Users could already use Linktree on TikTok, but this partnership will provide better integration between the two platforms.

New TikTok Ad Tools and Performance Insights

During TikTok’s second TikTok World event his year, they announced new updates coming soon:

  • Showtimes ad unit: Users will be able to search and buy tickets to their local cinemas in-stream.
  • Focused View ad objective: Next generation of the current Video View campaign objective, which will charge brands only when users voluntarily watch or interact with an ad within the first 6 seconds.
  • Lead Gen: More customisation and also added a carousel display.
  • Updated Creator Marketplace: Improved creator search and launching Creator Marketplace Match soon, which will automatically generate lists of creative partners based on a brand’s brief.

Automated ‘Smart Performance Campaigns’ on TikTok

TikTok has launched a new process that wants marketers to let the platform’s machine learning systems be in charge of full ad targeting and optimisation.

This campaign is recommended to:

  • New to TikTok

  • Highly performance-orientated advertisers
  • Gaming advertisers

Updated Pinterest Trends Tool

Pinterest has added more trend shortcuts to the main page, making it easier for users and marketers to find key information and expand it to 30 additional countries. New insights available:

  • Trends your audience loves
  • Trends by demographics
  • Seasonal trends

New API for Pinterest Conversions

Another way for advertisers to keep track of Pin performance, based on sales data recorded outside the platform, without requiring a Pinterest Tag.

Co-Author for Facebook Reel Clips

Facebook continues to improve its Facebook Reels to encourage users to use this functionality.

These will work as a collaborative Reels option where users can ‘invite a collaborator’ before sharing the Reel, and it would enable them to add another profile as a co-creator on the clip.

Branded Content Tags for Facebook Reels

Facebook is making branded content tags on Facebook Reels available to all creators, encouraging more users to create more short-form video and easily monetise it.

Testing Twitter Mention

Twitter is currently testing a new feature to give users more control over how people can interact with their tweets. This new feature will allow users if they want to allow others to mention them, allow anyone to mention them, or only allow people they follow to mention them.

Updated Google Search Display Formats

Google has been working on an update to provide users with more context when seeing all the display of Search results.

  • Adding site names and URLs to search results on mobile so users can easily identify the site they’re looking for,
  • Changing the ad notifier from ‘Ad’ to ‘Sponsored’ so it’s more easily distinguishable.
