Instagram Releases Notes

An update we announced when it was under testing: Notes.

This tool will be right on top of the DMs screen, and highlight chat prompts.

Instagram Group Profiles

Currently testing, but it would be an improvement to group chats.

These new group profiles would only be visible to chat members and Collaborative Collections.

Instagram Candid Stories

Another update we did mention a few weeks ago is that the platform is finally launching.

‘Candid Stories’ is a BeReal clone, which prompts you to capture and share what you’re doing. It would be shared as a Story but only visible to those users who have also shared their ‘Candid’.

Testing Longer Tweets

Elon confirmed that Twitter is currently testing longer Tweets, from 280 to 4000 characters.

Recently, a Twitter designer shared mock-ups of how this change would look in-stream.

YouTube Data Stories Update

YouTube launched Data Stories in October. Now, they’ve released some very exciting updates to help creators and brands better understand their channel performance data.

Data Stories is now experimenting with a ‘weekly recap’ to highlight the top metrics from Live, Shorts, normal content and posts. It would display how many viewers, the percentage of returning traffic, key drivers of traffic and weekly revenue, among others.
