“People are using notes to share thoughts, moods, and even places. We want to make it easier to connect over where you’re hanging out, get new inspiration for spots to visit and more. I’m psyched for this because sharing where I am has been one of my favourite things to do with notes.”
Instagram will soon launch enhanced safety settings to hide offensive messages and filter comments.

Project Clover is Tiktok’s programme to ensure their policies align with the latest European user data guidelines.
They’re committed to storing all European user data in Europe, more specifically, in Ireland and Norway.
They’ll work with a third-party European security company (NCC Group) to independently audit their data controls and protections, monitor data flows, provide independent verification, and report incidents.
NCC Group will also perform real-time monitoring to ensure that TikTok’s security gateways work as they should and that users’ data is safe.
Meta has launched new controls that will allow users to opt out of having their personal data included in AI model training. These new controls will be accessible via a new form on its Privacy Center hub.
Threads has started testing keyword search in New Zealand and Australia. This feature will show users all of the posts that mention the chosen terms and the current search results, which only return relevant usernames.
X will soon allow auto-populated job display listings within DMs, posts, and communities. However, organisations will need to purchase a ‘verification package’ to publish job ads.
X is working on adding an option to share your email when subscribing to a creator.
This could be for a newsletter function or to allow creators to easily take their email list with them to other platforms.
